Lamplight, the musical project of Ian Hatcher-Williams, unveils his latest single, “Lamplight,” ahead of his self-titled debut album release via Western Vinyl this Friday. This poignant track captures a moment of intense longing shared between Hatcher-Williams and his partner, inspired by Mark Strand’s poem “Love Silhouetted by Lamplight.”

Accompanied by a snapshot-filled music video, the song offers a mesmerizing glimpse into the depth of emotion explored throughout the album. With previous singles “Confrontation,” “House Rules,” and “Call Your Mom” setting the stage, Lamplight’s release is eagerly anticipated.

In his debut album, Hatcher-Williams reflects on his journey from a childhood in a Virginia cult to his present-day life, exploring themes of identity and home with a modern folk sensibility. Collaborating with producer Kevin Copeland lends a contemporary touch to the album’s introspective melodies.

“Lamplight” serves as a luminous beacon, illuminating the complexities of love, loss, and self-discovery. As the release date approaches, anticipation builds for the full spectrum of emotion and introspection that Lamplight promises to deliver.
