Capcom’s latest Resident Evil Showcase delivered a thrilling deep dive into Resident Evil Requiem, revealing new gameplay, major brand collaborations, and cutting-edge technology ahead of the game’s worldwide release on February 27, 2026.
Dual Protagonists and Flexible Gameplay
Resident Evil Requiem stars Leon S. Kennedy and FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, offering two distinct playstyles. Players can freely switch between first-person and third-person perspectives, blending immersive horror with cinematic action.
Leon’s campaign focuses on high-octane combat, featuring firearms, an all-new hatchet, parry mechanics, and brutal finishing moves. Grace’s journey leans into classic survival horror, emphasizing limited resources, difficult combat choices, and strategic crafting. Her powerful Requiem Assault Revolver serves as a last-resort weapon when survival hangs by a thread.
Smarter Zombies and a Darker Mystery
Zombies in Requiem behave unpredictably, some repeating habits from their past lives, opening opportunities for players to exploit their routines. At the center of the story is the mystery of “Elpis,” linking Grace’s past, the death of her mother, and Leon’s investigation into a deadly conspiracy.
Multiple difficulty options cater to all players, from a more accessible Casual mode to a Classic-inspired Standard mode that heightens tension with limited saves and stricter resource management.

Platforms, Tech, and Cloud Play
Resident Evil Requiem launches simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, Epic Games Store, and GeForce NOW. PC players can take advantage of NVIDIA DLSS 4 and path-traced effects, while GeForce NOW enables high-quality play across lower-spec PCs, mobile devices, and supported TVs.
Luxury Collaborations and Extras
Capcom also announced premium collaborations with Hamilton, unveiling two limited-edition watches inspired by Leon and Grace, and Porsche, which designed a custom Cayenne Turbo GT that appears in-game as Leon’s vehicle.
Additional announcements include collectible figures, a Resident Evil 30th anniversary symphony tour, Deluxe and Steelbook editions, a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, the first-ever Resident Evil amiibo, and special crossover items for Fortnite.
A Bold New Chapter
With its dual-protagonist structure, flexible camera system, next-gen visuals, and standout collaborations, Resident Evil™ Requiem is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious entries in the franchise. Survival horror returns in full force on February 27, 2026.
