Jaws 2
Years after the shark attacks that rocked Amity Island, Sheriff Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) senses new trouble in the waters. Mayor Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) is eager to cleanse the town’s tarnished reputation, but the mysterious disappearance of two divers hints that something’s amiss. When Sheriff Brody warns against holding a sailing competition, everyone dismisses it as post-traumatic stress. That is, until a shark fin slices through the water.

After a young great white shark ends up in Calvin Bouchard’s (Louis Gossett Jr.) sea-themed park, the workers try to capture it. However, keeping the shark in captivity brings serious trouble: a much larger mother shark shows up, searching for her offspring. Now, marine biologist Kathryn Morgan (Bess Armstrong), her co-worker Mike Brody (Dennis Quaid), and a pair of friendly dolphins must face this furious aquatic predator.

The family of widow Ellen Brody (Lorraine Gary) has long been plagued by shark attacks, and this unfortunate association continues when her son is the victim of a massive great white. In mourning, Ellen goes to visit her other son, Michael (Lance Guest), in the Bahamas, where she meets the charming Hoagie Newcombe (Michael Caine). As Ellen and Hoagie begin a relationship, a huge shark appears off the coast of the island, and Ellen’s trouble with the great whites begins again. Determined to protect her family, Ellen confronts her fear and the relentless predator. She joins forces with Michael and his marine biologist colleague, Jake (Mario Van Peebles), to devise a plan to track and eliminate the shark. Despite the danger, Ellen’s maternal instincts drive her to face the terrifying creature head-on, leading to a final, thrilling showdown in the tropical waters. As the tension mounts and the shark’s attacks become more daring, Ellen’s bravery and resilience are put to the ultimate test.
