Jud & Lace is a talented songwriting duo hailing from the southern states of South Carolina and Mississippi. Both have been immersed in music from a young age, mastering multiple instruments with a focus on the violin (Lacy) and guitar (Jud). Their musical influences span from Bob Dylan to 90’s genres, Blues, and even world music from Mexico and the Middle East.
Over the years, Jud and Lacy have lived in various parts of the United States, enriching their musical experiences and broadening their tastes. Judson has spent time in Charleston, Los Angeles, and Austin, while Lacy has lived in NYC, LA, and San Francisco. Their paths eventually crossed in Nashville, where they met while performing on the main stage of a renowned honky tonk on the city’s downtown “Broadway.”
As they began collaborating, they discovered that their diverse backgrounds and unique influences blended seamlessly, creating a distinctive and compelling sound.
