New York City alt-rock trio King Falcon are chasing the sun on their infectious new single, “Holding Out,” out now alongside a beach-soaked video that radiates laid-back optimism.

Built on glistening guitar riffs and breezy vocals, “Holding Out” leans into hazy hopefulness, capturing the quiet courage it takes to believe brighter days are ahead. Frontman Michael Rubin describes it as a turning point — choosing a path and walking it with faith that something better is coming. That spirit pulses through every hook, blending vintage tones, NYC grit and a sharp 21st-century edge.

The video plays like a California daydream, unfolding in Venice Beach at golden hour. Skatepark scenes, crashing waves and a glowing sunset mirror the track’s effortless cool. The skateboarding sequences, courtesy of Hayden McKenna, add a freewheeling energy that matches the song’s irresistible momentum.

Formed in Brooklyn in 2020, King Falcon — Rubin, bassist Joe Conserva and drummer Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty — have become road warriors, logging more than 150 shows in two years. Following their 2023 self-titled debut and breakout single “Plastic Crown,” the trio continues to build serious buzz.

This spring, they’ll bring that momentum on tour across North America, supporting Des Rocs on select dates — proving they’re not just holding out for better days, they’re racing toward them.
