Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man is officially set to debut on January 27, 2026, marking one of the first entries in Phase Sixof the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The eight-episode Disney+ series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams — a struggling actor caught in a sharp, meta-satirical spin on superhero culture and Hollywood fame.
Joining him is Ben Kingsley, reprising his beloved role as Trevor Slattery, as the two navigate a story that blurs the lines between heroism and performance. With its witty, self-aware tone, Wonder Man dives into themes of fame, ambition, and “superhero fatigue,” offering a refreshingly character-driven approach to the MCU.
Executive produced by Destin Daniel Cretton, the show’s ensemble also includes Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers. After production delays caused by the 2023 Hollywood strikes, filming has wrapped — and early buzz describes Wonder Man as both a “love letter to acting” and a bold reimagining of superhero storytelling.
