London-based house sensation Max Dean has dropped his official remix of Timbaland’s iconic 2007 hit “The Way I Are,”out now via Interscope. The release delivers a fresh, club-focused reinterpretation, seamlessly balancing the original track’s nostalgic pull with Max Dean’s signature sound — a blend of classic house grooves and razor-sharp modern production.
Max Dean’s rise from scene newcomer to headline-level artist has been nothing short of meteoric. His momentum was cemented with a Best Track Award win at the 2025 DJ Mag Best of British Awards for the viral hit “Cant Decide,”created alongside Locky and Luke Dean. After exploding on TikTok, the track has become a streaming juggernaut, surpassing 48 million Spotify streams, while further reinforcing his status as one of Mixmag’s Breakthrough DJs of the Year.
Staying true to his groove-heavy, retro-inspired roots, Max continues to bridge underground credibility with contemporary club energy. Alongside cousin Luke Dean, he co-runs NEXUP RECZ, a rapidly growing label and event brand that has hosted 15,000-capacity takeovers at DRUMSHEDS, The Warehouse Project, and a recent headline show at Space Miami. Looking ahead, Max Dean x Luke Dean are set to play Coachella on April 10 and 17, with more live dates to be announced soon.
