NYC lounge-pop duo Moon Radio — the magnetic pairing of vocalist Julia Haltigan and Japanese vibraphonist Yusuke Yamamoto — drifts back into orbit with their new single, “Shangri-La.” The track feels like a soft-focus portal into another realm, a shimmering meditation on wonder, escape, and the search for paradise when the world feels anything but peaceful.

Haltigan describes the song as “a reminder that the path to bliss is rarely a straight line, but a series of luminous stops along the way.” Yamamoto adds that the vibraphone acts like moving light, opening “a door into that space” and inviting listeners to slip inside.

Following their hypnotic debut, “Lust For The Moon,” the duo expands its lush, surreal universe. “Shangri-La” unfurls like a cinematic daydream, carried by airy vocals, marimba, vibraphone, and an eclectic constellation of shakers, bells, and vintage synths — imagine Martin Denny scoring a David Lynch dream sequence.

Produced by Grammy winner Torbitt Schwartz, the single embraces Moon Radio’s warm analog glow and their belief that sound can be its own storytelling. The duo continues crafting a growing world of music and visual pieces exploring what it means to dream, desire, and drift between worlds.
