Play by Play Studios, alongside the NBA and NBPA, has officially announced that NBA THE RUN will launch on June 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. The upcoming 3v3 streetball title combines arcade-inspired gameplay with NBA superstars, delivering fast-paced online competition across iconic courts worldwide.
Fans eager to experience the action early can register for the next Steam playtest scheduled for May 16. The beta introduces new content, including the original street legend Spin Cycle and the new Knockout Solos mode, where players control an entire squad of three competitors.
NBA THE RUN also features the Run the World Tournament, a four-round knockout challenge that ends with championship battles on special finals courts. Players can compete in Knockout Squads, Knockout Solos, and Knockout Friends, offering both solo and multiplayer experiences.
At launch, gamers can choose from more than 30 NBA stars and several fictional streetball legends, each designed with unique playstyles. Powered by rollback netcode, gameplay promises smooth online matches, responsive controls, flashy dunks, and seamless alley-oop action.
The Deluxe Edition includes exclusive rookie-inspired character variants, additional customization rewards, and extra content for dedicated fans looking to expand their streetball roster and personalize every online showdown experience.
