GSC Game World has dropped a brand-new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope, giving fans their best look yet at the first major expansion for Heart of Chornobyl.

The DLC dives headfirst into the legendary rivalry between Duty and Freedom, with veteran stalker Zulu and Freedom member Mavka taking center stage as they unravel dangerous new mysteries lurking within the Zone. Meanwhile, protagonist Skif finds himself caught in the middle of a conflict that could once again reshape the future of Chornobyl.

The trailer also showcases several new locations, including the eerie Iron Forest and the iconic CNPP, alongside familiar areas that have been reimagined to offer fresh experiences for both newcomers and longtime fans.

From unsettling encounters and emotional story beats to the oppressive atmosphere the series is known for, Cost of Hope looks set to expand the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in a big way.

As the second chapter in the “second S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy,” the expansion promises dozens of hours of exploration, mysteries, and tough choices when it launches later in Summer 2026.
