After releasing the album on all physical formats this past Friday, Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge release one more single as NxWorries ahead of their second album Why Lawd? being available on streaming services this Friday, June 14th. New single “WalkOnBy” finds the pair uniting with Earl Sweatshirt. Rae Khalil, who appeared on .Paak’s Grammy Award-winning song “Lockdown”, also features.

Available now on LP, CD and limited cassette, Why Lawd? follows NxWorries’ cult classic 2016 debut album Yes Lawd!. Fans of Yes Lawd! will find plenty to love on the new album, though Why Lawd? also finds NxWorries stretching to new sonic terrain – from Anderson .Paak’s deftly-rapped verses on “Battlefield” to the G-funk indebted production of “86Sentra” to the interplay of .Paak’s crooning and Earl Sweatshirt and Rae Khalil’s guest turns on “WalkOnBy.”

Previously released singles include “FromHere” featuring L.A. hip-hop royalty Snoop Dogg and Death Row-signed R&B singer October London; “Where I Go” featuring Grammy- and Oscar-winning artist and actress H.E.R.; “86Sentra,” and “Daydreaming.” Why Lawd? will be released on DSPs this Friday, June 14th.

To celebrate the release, Stones Throw has transformed its headquarters into a popup record store called X Records. Entry is free and the popup is open daily until June 13th from noon to 5 pm.

In the time since the release of Yes Lawd!, .Paak has gone on to become an 8x Grammy winner and achieved global superstardom through his solo career. Knxwledge has meanwhile cemented his legacy as one of the great beatmakers of our time, a Grammy Award-winner with a prolific catalog of his own, in addition to being called on by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt and others.
