During Sony’s State of Play Japan broadcast, SQUARE ENIX announced that a free demo for OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. All progress made in the demo carries over to the full game when it launches on December 4, 2025.
Players can dive into up to three hours of gameplay, creating a custom protagonist and experiencing the opening Prologue and Chapter 1 from the Master of Wealth, Master of Power, and Master of Fame storylines. The demo also includes the Kindlers of the Flame arc, introducing the new Town Building feature, where players begin rebuilding their hometown of Wishvale.
Set in the world of Orsterra, OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 follows a tale of restoration and retribution tied to the divine rings. The game combines the beloved HD-2D art style, Path Actions, and the Break and Boost battle system with new customization and rebuilding mechanics.
Pre-orders are now open for all platforms, with Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions available. Players who pre-order will receive exclusive Travel Provisions and the Icewind Mastery Action Skill.
