In Nioh 3, you step into the shoes of Tokugawa Takechiyo, destined to become shogun during Japan’s Edo period. When his jealous brother Kunimatsu harnesses sinister powers and summons yokai, Takechiyo must wield the Guardian Spirit Kusanagi to traverse multiple eras—from Edo Castle to Kyoto and even the Bakumatsu period—for the first time in series history.
The game introduces two dynamic combat styles: Samurai Style for grounded, martial arts mastery with the new Arts Proficiency and Deflect mechanics, and Ninja Style, offering agility, aerial attacks, and deceptive techniques like Mistand Evade to outsmart enemies.
