Paramount+ has announced the U.S. premiere of Little Disasters, a gripping six-part psychological thriller adapted from Sarah Vaughan’s bestselling novel (Anatomy of a Scandal). All episodes will debut exclusively on Paramount+ on Thursday, December 11, following earlier premieres in the U.K. and Ireland.

Produced by the BAFTA-winning team at Roughcut Television (ComaBig Boys) in association with Fremantle, the series promises suspense, emotional depth, and a tightly woven storyline.

Little Disasters explores the decade-long friendship of four expectant mothers—Jess (Diane Kruger), Liz (Jo Joyner), Charlotte (Shelley Conn), and Mel (Emily Taaffe)—brought together by little more than their due dates. When Jess’s baby suffers a mysterious head injury, Liz, an ER doctor and close friend, faces a heartbreaking decision: call social services or trust Jess to care for her child. One choice sets off a chain of events that threatens to unravel friendships, families, and lives.

The series also stars JJ Feild (Turn), Ben Bailey Smith (Star Wars: Andor), Patrick Baladi (Ted Lasso), and Stephen Campbell Moore (Masters of the Air), rounding out an exceptional ensemble cast.

With suspense, psychological tension, and the complexities of motherhood at its core, Little Disasters is poised to be one of Paramount+’s most talked-about releases of the year.
