After a considerable break from recording, Chicago’s multi-talented Matt Tiegler is back in the studio. His latest offering, “Dream,” marks his third studio recording and showcases a fresh, guitar-driven power pop approach. Contrasting with his previous lushly produced record “Gods & Heroes,” which featured jazz, orchestral, and world music elements, this new album promises a different sonic journey.

Collaborating with Evanston IL’s own songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Tommi Zender, who also serves as the producer, “Dream” comes to life. The recording and mixing magic happen under the skilled hands of John Abbey at Kingsize Sound Lab in Chicago. Zender brings his musical prowess, contributing guitars, percussion, keys, and vocals, many of which are recorded in his personal studio.

Joining the creative ensemble are esteemed singer-songwriters Steve Dawson (Dolly Varden) and Gerald Dowd (Frisbie, Robbie Fulks), along with Lawrence Brown and Max Crawford (Poi Dog Pondering), forming the talented studio band. Get ready to immerse yourself in Tiegler’s new sound and musical journey with “Dream.”
