Australian new wave/post-punk upstarts Radio Free Alice are officially entering their album era. The band has announced its debut LP, What’s In Between, arriving October 30, 2026 via Atlantic Records, alongside the soaring new single “Crying With You.”
The track comes with a striking new video directed by Milo Hume (Geese, Quarters) and captures the restless energy that has made Radio Free Alice such a live force. According to frontman Noah Learmonth, the song was pieced together from separate ideas during a writing retreat in Joshua Tree, California — a fittingly unconventional origin for a band that rarely seems interested in taking the obvious route.
“It’s a huge relief to finally announce the album,” Learmonth says, describing the release as a cathartic moment after living with the songs for so long.
Crying With You also continues the band’s creative partnership with producer Peter Katis, whose credits include Interpol, The National and Death Cab for Cutie, with additional production shaped by Ewan Pearson and Finn Billingham.
And Radio Free Alice aren’t slowing down. After recently drawing more than 500 fans to a surprise DIY London show, the band is heading to Reading Festival this weekend before returning to the US for Riot Fest in Chicago on September 18 and Austin City Limits on October 9.
