DIIV return this week with Boiled Alive, an ambitious live concert film and companion album that deepen the world they built on Frog in Boiling Water. Captured across three charged nights at Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom, the film—directed by Jaxon Whittington—premieres December 5 at boiledalive.com. Today, the band offered a first glimpse by sharing a riveting live video of “Reflected.”

The Boiled Alive live album, produced by Chris Coady, arrives Friday alongside the film. It features the full tracklist of Frog in Boiling Water, plus interludes and “Return of Youth” as a powerful final note. Physical releases on CD and cassette are also on the way.

DIIV frame Boiled Alive as both a document and an expansion of their creative universe. “We’ve always been at our best in a live concert environment,” the band says. “Filming the Frog set felt like a way to make our live show more accessible…and further build out the world of the album.”

Whittington echoes that sentiment, calling the project uniquely inspiring: “The band had already created such a beautiful and complex world… I don’t think this could have been made with any other group of people.”
