Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood has a new creative heartbeat: River Press, a studio, shop, and micro-gallery dedicated to uplifting local artists. Founded and run by printmaker Mya Giuliani—affectionately known as the wizard—the space is designed with one mission in mind: building a self-sustaining, community-driven arts ecosystem in Milwaukee.

River Press offers an intimate workspace open to all, giving artists access to tools, support, and a welcoming environment. Its micro-gallery highlights emerging talent, while the shop showcases work from over 50 Milwaukee-area artists, providing a platform many creators struggle to find.

Mya’s background in nonprofit arts makes them uniquely equipped for the role. “I learned a lot about spreadsheets,” Mya jokes, reflecting on their time with local organizations, “but also about fostering relationships.” That blend of structure and connection now fuels River Press’s collaborative spirit.

Whether you’re seeking a place to create, a thought-provoking exhibit, or a one-of-a-kind piece to brighten your home or office, River Press delivers. More than a studio, it’s a growing community hub—one that champions local art and the people behind it.
