Silversun Pickups, the multiplatinum, GRAMMY-nominated Los Angeles quartet, return with their seventh studio album, Tenterhooks, out February 6 via New Machine Recordings. Reuniting with acclaimed producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Garbage), the band delivers a raw, emotionally charged collection of ten tracks that capture both urgency and timelessness.
Lead single “The Wreckage” showcases Nikki Monninger’s signature bassline, wrapped in lush guitars and piano. “The lyric, ‘You get what you give,’ is so true,” says frontman Brian Aubert. “The world reflects what you put in.”
Tenterhooks emerged during a turbulent period for the band—Aubert even suffered temporary hearing loss—but the experience only deepened their sound and perspective. From the soaring opener “New Wave” to the cathartic closer “Hot-Wired,” the album pulses with energy and reflection.
Silversun Pickups also announced their 30-date Tenterhooks Tour for 2026, hitting cities across North America. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 14 at 10 a.m. local time.
