Genre-defying duo SOFI TUKKER have dropped, “Spiral” — the second irresistible banger from their anticipated forthcoming album, BREAD, to be released on August 23rd. With over a billion streams, and Platinum and Gold records on five continents, SOFI TUKKER have crafted their most daring, innovative and infectious work to date.
“Spiral” immediately hooks the listener with its 90’s Euro-dance throwback vibe, guitar hook and seductive vocals. Lyrically, Sophie explains, “it’s about coming to terms with the end of a relationship, but it sounds hopeful, dance-y and energetic.” Tucker adds, “I’ve always loved ‘90s, early-2000s dance music, Eurodance kind of genre. We made this song with a nostalgic sound. It’s a club banger that brings you back to 2002 and the video is perfect with Heidi.”
The music video for “Spiral” combines nostalgia from 2000’s chick flicks and memories from childhood sleepovers. It follows Sophie and Heidi over the course of one night as they let go of their past relationships, capturing the fun and therapeutic magic of spending a night with your best friend. The song feels both retro and modern, with a timeless aesthetic in both design and cinematography. The video made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU and MTV Biggest Pop.

The video team for “Spiral” includes Creative Director, Kunna Haan, who worked across the whole BREAD album campaign, video director Aerin Moreno and producer Scheme Engine – also behind SOFI TUKKER’S “Throw Some Ass,” the first single to be unveiled from BREAD. “Throw Some Ass” is making an impact; it reached the Top 20 on Spotify’s U.S. Viral Chart, and has racked up over 6 million global streams and counting.
