The GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and co-founder of The Internet has released her latest single, “2 Many Days,” via Free Lunch/Warner Records. Built around a smooth, pulsing beat and Syd’s signature laid-back vocals, the track serves as a nostalgic reflection on her rise from aspiring artist to one of modern R&B’s most influential voices.

On the song, Syd revisits her early days creating music in a driveway studio and promoting herself on MySpace, while also exploring the complicated realities of fame and success. The result is a deeply personal track that celebrates both her hard work and the lessons learned along the way.

“2 Many Days” follows the release of “Callin” featuring Blu June, the first taste of Syd’s upcoming album, Beard. The project features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Raphael Saadiq, Big Sean, Rodney Jerkins, James Fauntleroy, Van Hunt, Jordan Ward, and Blu June.

According to Syd, Beard is a coming-of-age album centered on self-acceptance and confidence. Inspired by embracing features she was once taught to feel insecure about, the album explores identity, individuality, and personal growth.

After earning a GRAMMY for co-writing Beyoncé’s “Plastic Off the Sofa,” Syd continues to prove why she remains one of R&B’s most innovative and compelling artists. If “2 Many Days” is any indication, Beard could be her most personal and powerful release yet.
