WWE 2K26 just slammed the hype meter through the roof with a new gameplay trailer dropped over Royal Rumble weekend. The spotlight opens on Standard Edition cover Superstar CM Punk, “The Best in the World,” walking to the ring before the video explodes into a showcase of legends and current stars, including Triple H, Rhea Ripley, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Undertaker, Kane, John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Iyo Sky, Eddie Guerrero, and more.
Punk’s major role goes beyond the cover — he headlines this year’s 2K Showcase. Fans also get a surprise throwback version of Punk, complete with long bleached hair and baggy shorts, squaring off against his modern self.
Gameplay takes a brutal leap forward. Two of four new match types are revealed: Inferno and Dumpster matches. Expanded brawl environments, barricade combat, and wild new weapons — like shopping carts, stacked tables, and thumbtacks — promise chaotic, high-impact action.
WWE 2K26 arrives in four editions: Standard, King of Kings, Attitude Era, and Monday Night War.
