We spend hours scrolling, liking, sharing and tapping. But what happens when the technology designed to connect us starts taking more than it gives?
Your Attention Please takes a closer look at the real-world impact of social media—and the people determined to change it.
Directed by Sara Robin, the documentary follows a coalition of parents, Gen Z innovators and whistleblowers pushing back against addictive technology. Among them are Kristin Bride, a mother fighting for legislative reform after losing her son, and Trisha Prabhu, a young innovator developing technology designed to help stop cyberbullying.
The film also features Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen, former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, Center for Humane Technology co-founder Tristan Harris, along with Sherry Turkle and Cal Newport.
But Your Attention Please isn’t simply another warning about the dangers of social media. Its message is surprisingly hopeful: maybe we can build better technology—tools that serve people instead of keeping us glued to the screen.
The question is simple: Can we take back our attention?
Your Attention Please is now available to rent or own on Apple TV, Amazon and other platforms, and is streaming on Documentary+ with a subscription.
Sometimes, the first step toward changing the way we use technology is simply looking up.
