Undue leverages donations to purchase qualifying medical debt—held by individuals earning four times or less than the federal poverty level, or whose debt equals 5% or more of their income—from hospitals and collection agencies for pennies on the dollar. That means $1 donated erases $100 of medical debt.
Recipients can’t apply for relief—it’s source-based. One day, an Undue envelope simply arrives with life-changing news: their debt has been wiped away.
