Michael J. Weithorn’s latest film, The Best You Can, arrives on digital at home November 25, bringing a moving, funny, and unexpectedly intimate story led by powerhouse performances from Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

Sedgwick stars as Cynthia Rand, a tightly wound New York City urologist whose life is built on structure, routine, and the stability of her marriage to Warren Rand (Judd Hirsch), a brilliant Watergate prosecutor 25 years her senior. But Cynthia’s carefully curated world begins to unravel when Warren shows early signs of dementia, forcing her to confront fears she’s long kept buried.

Across town, Bacon plays Stan Olszewski, a clever yet chronically underachieving security guard drifting through life while struggling to reconnect with his distant twenty-something daughter, Sammi (Brittany O’Grady).

When Stan unexpectedly thwarts a robbery at Cynthia’s Brooklyn home, their lives collide. What begins as a startling, awkward encounter slowly transforms into an unconventional friendship built on late-night texts, raw honesty, and offbeat humor. As their connection deepens, it drifts into a romantic entanglement neither of them anticipated.

Watch The Best You Can on digital starting November 25.
