Bungie has officially announced that Marathon will launch on March 5, 2026, arriving on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S with full cross play and cross save support. Pre orders are available now alongside a brand new gameplay trailer that offers a closer look at the dangers lurking on Tau Ceti IV.
Marathon is a survival extraction first person shooter where players step into the role of a bio cybernetic Runner. Your mission is to scavenge the ruins of a lost colony while surviving hostile security forces, rival Runners, and a brutally unforgiving environment. Every run is a high stakes gamble as players search for powerful gear and unravel the planet’s mysteries.
Bungie also revealed an impressive English language voice cast featuring industry veterans such as Roger Clark, Jennifer English, Neil Newbon, Ben Starr, Erica Lindbeck, and many more. Fully localized dialogue will be available in all supported languages, with additional voice casts and characters planned as the world of Marathon continues to evolve.
Marathon will be available in Standard and Deluxe editions, along with a Collector’s Edition. To celebrate the announcement, Destiny 2 players can claim Marathon themed rewards in the Eververse Store, with exclusive ornaments available for those who pre order.
