Michael Murphy (Tanner ’88), Louise Fletcher (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest), Dan Shor (Wise Blood), and Fiona Lewis (A Day at the Beach) lead the stellar cast of Dead Kids—also known as Strange Behavior—a darkly comic horror-sci-fi gem from director Michael Laughlin (Strange Invaders). Set in a small Midwestern town, police chief John Brady (Murphy) investigates a string of bizarre murders, uncovering the sinister mind-control experiments of a twisted scientist.

Co-written by Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters) and featuring a moody Tangerine Dream (Sorcerer) soundtrack, the film was produced in New Zealand by the legendary Antony I. Ginnane (Snapshot).

Powerhouse Films’ new 4K restoration from the original negative brings Dead Kids to life in stunning Dolby Vision/HDR. Fans can explore both the original Australian version (102 mins) and the U.S. cut, Strange Behavior (100 mins), with original mono audio and rich extras: multiple audio commentaries, new interviews with Murphy, Lewis, and Dey Young, archival insights from Ginnane, image galleries, trailers, and an isolated score.

Limited edition collectors will treasure the 80-page book featuring essays, archival interviews, and unpublished memoir excerpts. For horror and retro cinema enthusiasts, this release is a must-have.
