The Last Dinner Party are charging into a bold new era with the release of “Big Dog,” a fan favorite that has become a defining moment in the band’s live performances. Co-produced by the group alongside Animesh Raval, the track delivers a dark, forceful burst of art-pop inspired by the raw intensity of PJ Harvey.
Alongside the single, the London quintet also shared the spoken-word piece “Come All You Beasts,” regularly performed before “Big Dog” onstage. Georgia Davies explained that the piece explores folklore, storytelling, and biblical imagery while challenging outdated messages surrounding women’s safety and identity.
The release arrives as excitement builds around the band’s second studio album, From the Pyre, available now through Island Records. Produced with Grammy Award-winning producer Markus Dravs, the record follows the chart-topping success of Prelude to Ecstasy and showcases a more confident, adventurous songwriting approach.
The Last Dinner Party have also expanded their North American schedule, adding more dates supporting Olivia Rodrigo in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, alongside a 14-date run with Sombr. Their 31-date US and Canada tour begins May 19, continuing the group’s meteoric rise.
