Ares Interactive and AMC Global Media have opened pre-registration for The Walking Dead: Aftermath, a new free-to-play roguelite inspired by AMC’s blockbuster television franchise. Scheduled to launch on the App Store and Google Play during Summer 2026, the game promises intense survival action, strategic progression, and endless replayability.

Players who pre-register before release will unlock T-Dog as a playable survivor, along with a rare gear item and valuable survival resources. Fans will also step into the roles of iconic characters including Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne as they battle relentless walker hordes and dangerous human enemies.

Every mission introduces randomized upgrades, evolving combat scenarios, and unpredictable environmental challenges that force players to adapt constantly. Familiar franchise locations, including Hershel’s Farm, Woodbury, Terminus, and Alexandria, will appear throughout the campaign.

Outside combat missions, players can strengthen their Base Camp by building defenses, producing supplies, upgrading weapons, and assigning survivors to specialized roles. Ares Interactive also confirmed regular live-service updates featuring new events, characters, and storylines designed to keep survivors fighting for the future.

The studio believes the combination of fast paced roguelite gameplay and deep community management will give longtime Walking Dead fans a experience while rewarding daily play through challenges, seasonal rewards, and survival objectives.
