Old School RuneScape players have a massive year ahead.

During Jagex’s Summer 2026 Campfire showcase, the studio unveiled an ambitious roadmap packed with long-awaited story finales, dangerous new lands, a brutal endgame raid, and a stack of quality-of-life upgrades for both PC and mobile adventurers.

Leading the charge is The Blood Moon Rises, the sixth Grandmaster quest and dramatic conclusion to the decade-spanning Myreque storyline. Launching June 30, the quest sees the return of Lord Lowerniel Drakan — and with him, a blood-soaked threat looming over Gielinor. Players will venture into Vampyrium, battle terrifying enemies, and take on the new solo boss, the Maggot King.

But that’s only the beginning.

This summer also introduces Wyrmscraig, a rugged new island born from the community’s Sailing Player-Designed Island competition. Expect dangerous wildlife, new skilling activities like Goat Hunting and Golem Crafting, a fresh Slayer Master, and another repeatable boss encounter.

Later this year, Old School RuneScape gets its first brand-new raid in more than four years with The Fractured Archive. Described as the toughest challenge yet, the raid pits players against eight bosses while offering streamlined boss-rush gameplay and powerful Best-in-Slot rewards.

Elsewhere, Jagex confirmed a new Fremennik quest arriving this autumn, official Bingo support for community events, mobile upgrades, PvP tutorials for newcomers, and new game worlds in Singapore, Japan, and South Africa.

And for fans of live events, Deadman Allstars Season 3 heads to Chicago this June, while RuneFest 2026 promises a huge celebration for RuneScape’s 25th anniversary.

For Old School RuneScape players, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the game’s biggest years in recent memory.
