The countdown to FIFA World Cup 2026™ is officially on — and Netflix wants to put you right in the middle of the action.
Starting June 11, FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition arrives exclusively on Netflix Games, turning your TV into a football stadium and your phone into the controller. No console. No extra hardware. Just Netflix, your phone, and a few friends on the couch.
Designed to be fast, accessible, and instantly fun, the new game lets players jump straight into the excitement of international football. Pick from any of the 48 World Cup teams, play in 16 real-world stadiums, and take control of more than 1,200 players competing in the tournament.

Getting started is refreshingly simple: launch the game on your TV, scan a QR code with your phone, and you’re passing, shooting, and celebrating goals within seconds. Netflix says the experience is built for everyone — whether you’re a lifelong football fan or someone who’s never picked up a game controller before.
The Launch Edition marks the beginning of a new chapter for FIFA football games, focusing on quick, social gameplay that captures the energy and emotion of the world’s biggest sporting event. Better yet, up to four players can join the action, making it perfect for match-day gatherings.
The game launches alongside the opening of the FIFA Men’s World Cup on June 11 and is included with a Netflix membership in supported countries.
So while the world’s biggest stars battle it out on the pitch, you can create your own World Cup moments from the comfort of your living room.
Game on.
