The zombie apocalypse just got a lot more intense.
Saber Interactive has officially launched the free “Limitless Strain” Update for World War Z, bringing a fresh wave of content to players on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Designed to push survivors to their limits, the update introduces new Horde Mode challenges, weapon perks, mutators and unlockable rewards that add even more chaos to the co-op shooter’s relentless battles.
Among the biggest additions are seven new Horde Mode daily challenges, six game-changing mutators, and seven new weapon perks that let players further customize their loadouts. Brave survivors can also unlock three exclusive custom frames by completing special in-game milestones.
The new mutators promise to shake up every match, with twists ranging from zombies that only die from headshots to Screamers whose piercing cries can be heard from anywhere on the map.
Xbox players are also getting a major quality-of-life boost thanks to newly added Xbox Play Anywhere support. Digital owners can now seamlessly switch between Xbox and PC versions of the game while keeping their saves, achievements and purchased content intact.
For players looking to freshen up their arsenal, two new premium cosmetic packs inspired by fan-favorite characters Bunko Tatsumi and Daniela are available now for $4.99 each.
Powered by Saber’s Swarm Engine™, World War Z continues to deliver massive zombie hordes and intense co-op action across its globe-spanning locations. With the “Limitless Strain” update now live, there’s never been a better time to jump back into the fight.
The horde is waiting. The question is: can you survive?
