Crime Boss: Rockay City is marking its second anniversary on Steam in style, celebrating both the milestone and more than 1 million copies sold worldwide with the launch of the huge FREE 2.0 Update (Update 21).
The update delivers one of the biggest overhauls the game has seen since launch, headlined by an all-new Story Mode that follows Travis Baker’s complete rise to power. Unlike the original campaign structure, the new mode removes roguelite mechanics, permadeath, and randomization, offering a more traditional, story-driven experience.
Players can also dive into two brand-new missions, Hell’s Kitchen and Close Encounter, alongside fresh cinematic cutscenes, expanded narrative content, and a wide range of gameplay improvements shaped by community feedback.
PC players get even more to explore with the release of full modding tools, allowing the creation of custom characters, weapons, missions, and entirely new game modes.
With years of post-launch updates now rolled into a single package, Crime Boss: Rockay City 2.0 represents the most complete version of the co-op FPS heist adventure to date. Whether you’re returning to Rockay City or jumping in for the first time, there’s never been a better time to join the action.
The free Update 21 is available now on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
