New York City alternative rock trio King Falcon are ready for their next chapter. The band has officially announced their new six-track EP, Bloom, arriving September 18, and they’re kicking things off with the release of the soaring new single and video, “Hourglass.”
Known for their explosive guitar riffs, emotional songwriting, and frontman Michael Rubin’s commanding vocals, King Falcon continue to evolve without losing the sound that has earned them a growing fanbase. Rubin describes Bloom as a bridge between the band’s 2023 self-titled debut and the new music they’re already creating for 2027, promising fresh sonic territory while staying true to the band’s roots.
The latest single, “Hourglass,” leans into reflection and loss. Rubin says the song explores looking back on life’s defining moments and wondering whether the path you’ve taken was truly the better one, while capturing the lingering emptiness left behind after losing someone close.
Since forming in Brooklyn in 2020, Rubin, bassist Joe Conserva, and drummer Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty have played more than 150 shows, amassed over 1.5 million streams, earned praise from Guitar World and MXDWN, and shared stages with The Struts, Sublime with Rome, Des Rocs, and Cinema Stereo.
With Bloom arriving September 18 and more New York shows on the horizon, King Falcon are proving they’re not just building momentum—they’re taking flight.
