The truth is coming home.
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will release Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi event film Disclosure Day on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray August 25, giving fans a chance to revisit the director’s latest big-screen mystery from the comfort of home.
Starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo, the film asks a chilling question: What would you do if someone proved we weren’t alone? As its ominous tagline puts it, “This summer, the truth belongs to eight billion people.”
Spielberg reunites with longtime collaborator David Koepp, who wrote the screenplay from a story by Spielberg. The pair previously worked together on Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The home releases are packed with extras, including Dolby Vision/HDR, a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, and the behind-the-scenes featurette Encountering the Unknown: Inside Disclosure Day, which explores the film’s production and real-world inspirations with Spielberg, Blunt and the cast. Also included is Spielberg and Williams: A Legendary Collaboration, plus trailers and optional English SDH, Spanish and French subtitles.
For Spielberg fans, sci-fi devotees, and anyone still wondering what might happen if humanity finally got proof, Disclosure Day is ready to bring the mystery home on August 25.
