What happens when the galaxy far, far away collides with Earth’s mightiest heroes? LEGO wants fans to find out.

Announced at New York Comic Con, the LEGO Group has launched a first-of-its-kind LEGO Ideas challenge bringing Star Wars and Marvel together. Fans can dream up original brick creations that mash up the two universes, from unlikely character team-ups to hybrid vehicles and unforgettable crossover scenes.

Even better, this isn’t just a creative exercise. Fans can submit their builds through the LEGO Ideas platform, where community voting will help determine the favorites. Selected designs could eventually become official LEGO products, giving one fan’s imagination a permanent place on store shelves.

LEGO Invites Fans to Unite Star Wars and Marvel in Epic Crossover Challenge

Three Themes, Endless Possibilities

The challenge features three categories: characters, vehicles and scenes. Imagine Darth Vader teaming up with Doctor Doom, the Millennium Falcon getting an Avengers-inspired makeover, or Spider-Man swinging through the halls of the Death Star. The possibilities are wide open.

The crossover also celebrates a major milestone on the horizon: the 50th anniversary of Star Wars in 2027. The upcoming Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles comic series, launching in January, will also bring the two universes together for the first time in comics.

Submissions are open now, and fans can review the official rules and guidelines before getting to work. Community voting begins December 15, 2026, with the grand prize selections scheduled to be announced next year.

For LEGO builders and fans of both franchises, this is a chance to do more than imagine the ultimate crossover. You might actually help build it into reality.
