Apple TV is adding another gripping crime drama to its lineup. ‘Dustfall,’ a six-episode thriller starring Emmy Award nominee Anna Torv (Mindhunter, The Last of Us), is set to premiere in 2027.
Written by BAFTA Award nominee Dianne Taylor (After the Party) and directed by Emma Freeman (The Newsreader), the series is adapted from Vikki Petraitis’ award-winning novel The Unbelieved.
Torv stars as Antigone “Tig” Pollard, a seasoned detective investigating a disturbing sexual assault case that takes a darker turn when a key suspect turns up dead. As Tig searches for answers, she must confront a system that too often fails victims — and secrets buried deep in her own past.
The series features an impressive ensemble cast, including Juliet Stevenson, Kate Box (Deadloch), Jay Ryan (Territory) and Ling Cooper Tang (Troppo).
Described as an atmospheric “tropic noir,” Dustfall promises a tense mix of crime, personal trauma and a search for justice. With Torv leading the investigation, this is one to keep on your radar.
‘Dustfall’ premieres on Apple TV in 2027, with regional distribution arrangements applying in Australia and other territories.
