Starring Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man and Jared Leto as Skeletor, the film brings one of animation and toy collecting’s most recognizable fantasy properties to a new generation. The release across multiple disc formats, including a 4K Ultra HD SteelBook edition, makes this week’s biggest franchise-focused pick for collectors.
Adventure Time: The Complete Collection
Format:
Blu-ray
Studio:
Warner Bros. Home
Finn the Human and Jake the Dog return for a complete-series Blu-ray collection of Adventure Time, the animated fantasy phenomenon that helped redefine modern television animation. Set in the colorful, unpredictable Land of Ooo, the series combines absurd comedy, imaginative creatures, emotional storytelling and an increasingly elaborate mythology.
What begins as a series of quirky adventures grows into a much larger story about friendship, identity and the history of a strange post-apocalyptic world. Its distinctive art style and memorable characters have helped the show build a lasting following among animation fans of all ages. For collectors who prefer owning an entire series rather than tracking down individual seasons, this complete collection is a notable addition to the week’s releases.
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated: The Complete Series
Format:
Blu-ray
Studio:
Warner Archive
The Mystery Inc. gang investigates another collection of strange happenings in this complete-series release of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. Featuring Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo, the series takes the familiar mystery-solving formula and expands it into a more serialized adventure, with an overarching mystery surrounding the town of Crystal Cove.
The show combines the humor and monster-filled mysteries that made Scooby-Doo a household name with deeper character development, recurring villains and a larger story connecting episodes. Its more elaborate animation and willingness to play with the franchise’s long history have earned it a devoted following. This Blu-ray collection is an appealing option for longtime fans, animation collectors and viewers looking to revisit one of the franchise’s more ambitious modern incarnations.
Regular Show: The Complete Series
Format:
Blu-ray
Studio:
Warner Bros. Home
Mordecai the blue jay and Rigby the raccoon bring their unusual brand of workplace chaos to Blu-ray in Regular Show: The Complete Series. What starts as a relatively ordinary day working at a park can quickly spiral into supernatural encounters, bizarre competitions and increasingly ridiculous situations.
The series became a cult favorite thanks to its offbeat humor, surreal storytelling and recognizable cast of characters. Beneath the absurdity, it also follows the friendships, mistakes and growing pains of two young adults trying to figure out their lives. For fans of Cartoon Network’s distinctive era of original animation, this complete-series release offers an opportunity to revisit the show’s full run in one collection.
The Cable Guy — 30th Anniversary Edition
Format:
4K Ultra HD SteelBook
Studio:
Sony Pictures
Jim Carrey’s dark comedy The Cable Guy celebrates its 30th anniversary with a new 4K Ultra HD SteelBook edition. Carrey stars as Chip Douglas, an eccentric cable installer whose attempt to become friends with a customer gradually turns into an increasingly obsessive and unsettling relationship.
Co-starring Matthew Broderick, the film stands apart from Carrey’s more straightforward comedies with its darker tone, uncomfortable humor and satirical look at friendship and television culture. The new SteelBook edition provides a reason for collectors to revisit the 1996 film, while the 4K presentation makes it a notable catalog release for fans of physical media and premium packaging.
