All Them Witches return with “The Welterweight,” a soulful new track inspired by frontman Charles Michael Parks, Jr.’s grandfather, a welterweight boxing champion. The song began as an acoustic idea before evolving into a full-band ballad, reflecting the group’s collaborative chemistry. Guitarist Ben McLeod praises it as a standout piece, while studio sessions with producer Eddie Spear brought unexpected moments, including a deliberately simple piano intro from Allan Van Cleave.
Alongside the release, the band announced their ambitious “21 Shows In 21 Days” October tour, hitting cities across the U.S. with support from Emma Ruth Rundle. Fans can also look ahead to their seventh studio album, House of Mirrors, arriving May 29.
Formed in Nashville in 2012, the band built a cult following through heavy blues-rock releases. After lineup changes in 2024, the addition of drummer Christian Powers reignited their creative spark. Recorded quickly at Blackbird Studio, the new album captures renewed energy and introspective themes about identity, expectations, and personal growth.
With “The Welterweight,” All Them Witches signal a powerful new chapter rooted in resilience and artistic freedom. The project highlights their enduring bond and commitment to authentic storytelling, promising a dynamic listening experience that blends grit and melody for longtime fans and newcomers alike worldwide today everywhere.
