AMC+ and Shudder are set to premiere The Terror: Devil in Silver, a chilling new chapter in the acclaimed horror anthology series The Terror, on Thursday, May 7. This six-episode limited series, with new episodes dropping weekly, is executive produced by legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott, showrunners Chris Cantwell (Halt and Catch Fire) and Victor LaValle (The Changeling), and Emmy® nominee Karyn Kusama (Yellowjackets), who directs the first two episodes. The series will also air on AMC later this year.
Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, Abigail), who also serves as an executive producer, stars as Pepper, a working-class man wrongfully committed to the sinister New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital. Trapped in a place where nothing is as it seems, Pepper faces hostile patients, secretive doctors, and possibly the Devil himself. His only hope for freedom is confronting the darkness within—and perhaps within himself.

The ensemble cast includes Judith Light (Before, Out of My Mind), CCH Pounder (Rustin), Aasif Mandvi (Evil), John Benjamin Hickey (The Big C), Stephen Root (Barry), and more.
“Working with Victor LaValle to bring his novel to the screen has been incredible,” said Cantwell. “This cast—led by Dan Stevens—brings depth, empathy, and soul to a story of horror, humanity, and survival.”
AMC Networks’ Courtney Thomasma adds, “The Terror: Devil in Silver delivers suspense, supernatural dread, and unforgettable characters to both premium drama viewers and dedicated horror fans.”
