Apple TV is turning up the suspense with the first trailer for “Last Seen,” a gripping new Australian thriller starring Gotham Award winner Patrick Brammall. The series premieres globally Wednesday, September 9, with two episodes, followed by a new episode every Wednesday through October 7.

Adapted from Ryan David Jahn’s CWA John Creasey Dagger Award-winning novel The Dispatcher, “Last Seen” follows Ian Ridley (Brammall), a police detective whose life shattered when his young daughter, Maggie, vanished 11 years ago.

Now working as a police dispatcher, Ian has never stopped searching—or believing Maggie could still be alive. Everything changes when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he is convinced is his missing daughter. From there, his desperate quest to bring Maggie home threatens to consume everything in its path.

Kris Mrksa adapted the series and serves as writer and executive producer, while Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow directs and executive produces. Produced by 60Forty Films, the series was entirely filmed and set in Victoria, Australia.

Brammall is joined by an impressive ensemble including Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman, Jessica Wren, Tobias Muhafidin and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes.

With a haunting disappearance, a potentially life-changing phone call and a father willing to risk everything for the truth, “Last Seen” looks set to deliver plenty of twists and tension when it arrives on Apple TV this September.
