Call of Duty: Warzone is heading into a new conflict. Season 1 launches November 6, bringing Hajin, a massive new battlefield set in a fictional exclusion zone near the Korean peninsula. The update also delivers new weapons, dynamic weather, gameplay changes, and a fresh Gulag experience.
Hajin isn’t an entirely new setting. The map is connected to Modern Warfare 4’s campaign and DMZ extraction mode, but its arrival in Warzone puts the environment into a different kind of fight: large-scale battle royale and Massive Resurgence, with support for up to 120 players in the latter.
A Battlefield Shaped by Conflict
Hajin features a mix of ruined urban areas, abandoned military installations, farmland, forests, and underground facilities. Radiation, damaged infrastructure, and fortified compounds help establish the atmosphere of a region caught in a larger military struggle.
Dynamic weather adds another layer, with sudden downpours, heavy fog, and overcast conditions potentially changing visibility and how players approach familiar areas. A new Gulag location also gives eliminated players a fresh setting for their second chance.
New Weapons and Gameplay Changes
Season 1 brings significant Modern Warfare 4 integration into Warzone. Modern Warfare 4 weapons become the primary ground-loot selection, alongside new equipment and combat mechanics.
Two weapons arrive at launch: the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and CSG-35 submachine gun, both available as free base-weapon unlocks through the Battle Pass. Later additions include the fully automatic JAK 12 shotgun and ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon.
Players can also look forward to several gameplay additions:
- Dragging Downed Teammates: Move injured squadmates to safer positions before attempting a revival.
- Zipline Launcher: A new Field Upgrade designed to help players reach elevated positions.
- Grabber Drone: Another addition to the seasonal equipment lineup.
- Elite Perks: New perk options alongside broader loadout adjustments.
Older weapons from previous Call of Duty releases are also expected to remain usable, although reporting indicates some will lose Gunsmith editing support.
Don’t Confuse Warzone With DMZ
One important distinction: Hajin appears in both Warzone and Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ, but the experiences are different.
Warzone focuses on competitive battle royale and Resurgence matches. DMZ revolves around extraction missions, persistent gear, crafting, and completing objectives before escaping the exclusion zone.
The season also introduces X01, a secretive Russian facility connected to the Hajin storyline. However, X01 is announced as DMZ content, not a confirmed additional Warzone battlefield.

More Than Just Hajin
Hajin isn’t arriving alone. Season 1 also introduces Zodiac, a new Resurgence map, along with Rally Point, an open-ended experience featuring no closing circle and ongoing Resurgence. Verdansk and Rebirth Island are also scheduled to return later in the season.
When Does Hajin Arrive?
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 launches November 6, 2026, at midnight Eastern Time. Players in the Central time zone can jump in starting at 11 p.m. CT on Thursday, November 5.
Hajin looks set to be one of Warzone’s biggest seasonal additions, combining a familiar Modern Warfare setting with new weather systems, weapons, equipment, and large-scale combat. Whether it becomes a favorite battlefield remains to be seen, but there’s plenty here for returning players to explore.
