Denzel Curry is back with a new chapter—and a new crew. He officially unveils The Scythe, a collective featuring Curry, Ferg, Bktherula, TiaCorine, and Key Nyata, alongside their debut full-length project, Strictly 4 The Scythe, arriving March 6 via Loma Vista Recordings.
The announcement lands with “Lit Effect,” a BNYX-produced heater featuring Bktherula and LAZER DIM 700. The rock-tinged anthem hits hard, signaling the group’s high-voltage direction.
The Scythe channels the unity of Curry’s early days while pushing his futuristic spin on classic Southern rap from Memphis, Houston, and Miami. It’s gritty, forward-thinking, and rooted in hip-hop’s foundation. As Curry puts it, The Scythe is family—individual stars forming one force.
The project follows 2024’s refreshed King Of The Mischievous South and continues Curry’s prolific streak, blending legacy, experimentation, and the South’s next wave into one sharp-edged vision.
