Good Neighbours are back with another taste of their next chapter. Hot on the heels of “Superstar”, the UK duo of Oli Fox and Scott Verrill have dropped “Mary Jane” via Polydor Records — a more energetic, raw-edged track that swaps the rush of new romance for something altogether more intoxicating.
Written in just an hour while finishing “Superstar”, “Mary Jane” feels like a natural second act to the story. It captures the dizzying pull of being completely infatuated with someone while having absolutely no idea how to make a move. As Good Neighbours put it, “It’s intoxicating.”
The accompanying video, directed by Harv Pearson, brings that awkward attraction to life with plenty of charm. Set at a house party, an uncomfortable would-be romantic tries to win over his crush through an increasingly impressive — and hilarious — dance routine. Before long, even Oli and Scott leave the sidelines and join the party.
It’s another confident step forward for a band already moving at serious speed. Since forming in late 2023, Good Neighbours have racked up more than 1.4 billion global streams, while their 2025 debut album Blue Sky Mentality cemented their knack for enormous, emotionally charged pop. Breakout hit “Home” went Platinum in the UK, spent 11 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and logged 40 weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
