Lewis Capaldi just dropped something far more powerful than a hit single. His new official video for “Stay Love” is a heartfelt tribute to primary caregivers, showing a quiet, grueling day in the life of a son caring for his aging father.

Found on the deluxe edition of his Survive EP, the song is a tender, piano-led plea for companionscence: “Oh just stay, love, when everybody’s leaving.” The stripped-down arrangement lets every word land hard, underscoring Capaldi at his most vulnerable.

The video opens in a modest suburban home. The son wakes his father, helps him dress, reads the news, handles laundry, buys groceries, and pays bills. He sees the life he’s put on hold, yet still finds moments of warmth and laughter with his dad. Then the cycle begins again.

To honor these unsung heroes, Capaldi is hosting a free concert for primary caregivers and their guests at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on July 28, in partnership with Carers Trust and ABLE2UK. In a first-of-its-kind move, the venue will be fully accessible with priority given to carers.
