The hunt is getting bigger. Capcom has revealed a fresh wave of Monster Hunter Wilds™ updates, giving players new ways to jump into the Forbidden Lands, expanded product options, and a major global competition coming in 2026.
Hunters can now try the newly released Monster Hunter Wilds demo, featuring the game’s opening hours in Offline Mode. The demo includes full character creation, all 14 weapon types, and story content through the start of Chapter 1-3, “To the Forest.” Ready to continue the adventure? Your save data can carry over to the full game on the same platform.
Capcom is also adding new ways to experience Monster Hunter Wilds, including a permanent price reduction that brings the game’s MSRP down to $39.99. New bundle options include the Monster Hunter Wilds Gold Edition, combining the full game with the Cosmetic DLC Collection, plus standalone cosmetic collections for hunters who want to customize their journey.
Meanwhile, the world’s top hunters are preparing for the ultimate showdown. The Monster Hunter Wilds Championship – Global Exhibition arrives in September 2026, bringing together the best hunting duos from Japan, the United States, Europe, and Taiwan. Players can sharpen their skills now with new Challenge Quests, “Event: Dreams May Soar” and “Event: Unchained Arkveld,” and compare their best times with championship contenders.
With Monster Hunter Wilds already available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and a Nintendo Switch™ 2 version in development, the hunt is only getting started. More details on the massive expansion Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance™ are expected at a later date.
