New York City’s The Wonder Licks have unveiled their latest single, “With Feeling,” a song that wraps emotional fracture in a warm, classic Americana melody. At first tender and reassuring, it slowly reveals a story of distance, loss, and the painful recognition that love is no longer mutual.

“A confessional meditation on love, faith, and quiet rejection, this song kneels at the altar of devotion only to rise wounded,” explains lead singer Jacob Wunderlich. “Blending sacred imagery with romantic fallout, it captures the ache of loving someone who has already decided you don’t belong.”

That push and pull—between melodic ease and lyrical tension—defines the track. The song drifts gracefully as its narrator confronts rejection, framed through prayer and spiritual longing. Here, the church becomes both sanctuary and site of reckoning, highlighting the pain of devotion without reciprocity.

The Wonder Licks have steadily built a following in NYC with their emotionally resonant Americana and Indie Roots sound. Praised as “imaginative and new…without a twinge of replication” and “folky new wave…like cartwheeling through the woods,” their live shows and recordings captivate listeners.
