OTR’s highly-anticipated album “Be Quiet, They’re Listening” has officially dropped on Astralwerks, following up on his acclaimed debut “Lost At Midnight” from 2020. This new album features exciting collaborations with artists like Bipolar Sunshine, Lizzy Land, JONES, Devault, and Kacy Hill, taking listeners on a captivating journey through a vibrant soundscape of diverse tempos and moods, all highlighting the healing power of music.

In OTR’s own words, “The album is a reflection of a time when I had to learn how to put my life back together. I’m really proud of how it turned out and hope people can find comfort, inspiration, and motivation while listening to it. ‘In The Summer’ feels like a combination of these feelings all wrapped up in one song, so I’m thrilled that it’s debuting with the album as a whole.”

The music video for “In The Summer,” directed by Kevin Clark, completes a trilogy, centering on a couple introduced in the videos for “Heat of the Sun” (with JONES) and “Apart Of Me” (Ft. Devault). This prismatic video takes viewers on a mesmerizing journey through shifts in time and perspective, exploring extraordinary moments in the couple’s relationship.

As OTR explains, “Be Quiet, They’re Listening” draws inspiration from a science fiction short story influenced by the Fermi paradox. The story delves into the vastness of the universe, where you seek connection but receive no signals in return, leading to an unsettling foreboding warning. OTR aimed to capture that intriguing atmosphere in his album.

The album itself boasts a remarkable explosion of dreamy synths and polished percussion, showcasing OTR’s masterful attention to detail and emotional range. These loving, buoyant electronic tracks exude optimism and catharsis, an extension of OTR’s own journey as an artist. From escaping alienating circumstances to now amassing over 200 million global streams, OTR’s music resonates with audiences worldwide.

With an aerospace engineering background, OTR’s transformation began during an internship in Japan in 2014. Music quickly shifted from a casual hobby to a serious passion, and he’s been refining his craft ever since. In 2020, he signed with Astralwerks, a prestigious electronic label, and released his debut album “Lost at Midnight,” which earned syncs in popular Netflix soundtracks, Forza Horizon 5, and even a Super Bowl commercial. OTR is now embarking on a fall North American headline tour to support “Be Quiet, They’re Listening,” ready to immerse audiences in his captivating sounds and stories.
