Prime Video has pulled back the curtain on On Call, a gripping new half-hour drama series co-created by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf. Marking Wolf Entertainment’s first foray into scripted streaming, the adrenaline-fueled series is set to debut on January 9, 2025. All eight episodes will be available exclusively on Prime Video, reaching audiences in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Set in Long Beach, California, On Call offers a raw, immersive look at the world of law enforcement. The series pairs a rookie and veteran officer as they navigate the challenges of protecting and serving their community. Employing a dynamic mix of bodycam, dash-camera, and cellphone footage, the show creates a cinema verité experience that underscores the high-stakes reality and moral complexities of policing.

Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) takes the lead as “Traci Harmon,” a seasoned officer who walks the line between mentor and enforcer while wrestling with her own struggles within the department. Opposite Bellisario is Brandon Larracuente (The Good Doctor), who stars as “Alex Diaz,” a hopeful rookie grappling with the challenges of balancing his idealism with the gritty realities of the job.

The supporting cast boasts a powerhouse lineup, including Eriq La Salle (ER, Logan) as “Sergeant Lasman,” who doubles as an executive producer and director of multiple episodes. Lori Loughlin (Fuller House) joins as “Lieutenant Bishop,” while Rich Ting (Tulsa King) rounds out the ensemble as “Sergeant Koyama.”

With its innovative storytelling techniques and deeply human focus, On Call is poised to deliver a fresh and visceral take on the police drama genre. Fans of Wolf Entertainment’s signature storytelling will find a lot to celebrate in this new chapter, as the company brings its trademark grit and authenticity to the streaming era.

Mark your calendars for January 9, 2025, as On Call promises to be a can’t-miss event for fans of high-stakes, character-driven drama.
