Razer is taking one of its most popular gaming mice back to the drawing board—without throwing away what made it popular in the first place.
The new Razer Basilisk V4 Pro keeps the familiar ergonomic shape and thumb rest gamers know, but packs in a serious list of upgrades. There are now 14 customizable controls, including a new M1 edge button and third side button, while the repositioned multi-function trigger promises easier access during gameplay.
The scroll wheel gets a major upgrade, too. The new HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2 offers tactile, precision tactile, free-spin and automatic Smart-Reel modes. In other words, whether you’re cycling through weapons or blasting through a long webpage, the wheel is designed to keep up.

Under the hood, Razer has loaded the Basilisk V4 Pro with its Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3, capable of up to 50,000 DPI, along with true 8,000 Hz polling through HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2. Razer’s Gen-4 optical switches are rated for 100 million clicks, adding some serious longevity to the package.
And, of course, there’s RGB. The Basilisk V4 Pro features 7-zone Razer Chroma RGB with full underglow, supporting 16.8 million colors and dynamic lighting across more than 300 compatible games.
Battery life is equally ambitious, reaching up to 200 hours at 1,000 Hz over HyperSpeed Wireless or up to 275 hours using Bluetooth 6.2. With five-way connectivity, gamers can also jump between multiple devices without constantly re-pairing their mouse.

Meet the Mouse Dock V2 Pro
Razer is launching the Mouse Dock V2 Pro alongside the Basilisk V4 Pro. The wireless charging dock uses magnetic charging and doubles as an 8,000 Hz HyperSpeed wireless transceiver. It also adds 8-zone Chroma RGB underglow and support for connecting compatible Razer mice and keyboards.
For gamers who don’t need all the bells and whistles, Razer is also offering the Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed. At 94 grams, it delivers 12 customizable controls, a Focus X 33K Optical Sensor Gen-3 and up to 140 hours of battery life.
The message behind the new Basilisk lineup is pretty simple: comfort, control, performance and customization don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Razer’s latest mouse looks designed to put all four on the same desk.
